AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition 2.57

Before you install the program you should have already run the included .sql script file.
This script will create the database tables. If you will not be using Trusted Connections
you will also need to create a user account, such as AACS with the proper permissions.
You will also want to be sure you have the latest Microsoft MDAC files (as of this writing
I believe 2.8 is the most recent version. One reason you may want to be sure you have the
latest version is during the ODBC configuration part of the installation you will want to
be able to check the box "dynamically determine port" for the TCP/IP Client Configuration.
In some earlier version of MDAC that checkbox is not available.

Although the changes in this release may not be that dramatic from version 2.55 (the help
file has only been slightly updated), I decided to provide a full setup. You will not need
to have version 2.55, or any earlier version installed. While I still plan a version 3.0
of this program, it is likely that I will first develop updated web pages, just as I did with
version 2.57 of the Professional Edition. These newer style web pages may initially only be available to registered users. I have to admit the C/S version web pages are looking a littled
dated. The .zip file now includes one of the additional themes provided on CD or via download
to registered. You will want to start with the setupweb.exe and be sure you can get those pages
working first. I have to admit unless you have a good bit of SQL and IIS experience, you may
find setting up the windows app much easier than the web interface. It sometimes takes a bit
of "googling" error messages to get the web app running as you want

Reminder: should you decide to purchase a site license, this covers both the windows application
and the web interface. We believe this helps make the program an excellent value.
