If you are trying to setup one of our Active Server Pages on a hosted web server and need some help FTP'ing the files or with configuration, email me with specifics and I will try to help you set up the web interface.  I have done so recently for a customer using Proactive Customer Support, so thought I would "officially" offer the same assistance to others who may be having some problems.

Spacer Help Desk Software You Really Can Afford

12/23/2005 - While this still will still be maintained in 2006, our preferred site will be http://www.dbandsons.com - On that site I am developing a set of forums which I hope will be useful to both customers and prospective customers.  Please visit our original web site, and what will be our most current web site:  http://www.dbandsons.com

December 28, 2005 - Been There, Done That! 2006 is now available for download.
This new version adds integrated charts and graphs and a new backup and restore utility. The price of a site license (no additional cost per user) has increased to $169, however, through the end of January 2006 you can get yours for $119 - a $50 discount, by using the Discount Code: QRX000G3 when ordering through BMT Micro. I will now begin replacing download links for earlier versions with the newer version. This is a free version upgrade for registered users and file compatible with version 8x.

Don't forget to visit our other websites.  Our first and most recently updated site is: DBandSons.com and then there is: DennisBaggottandSons.com  and our site most in need of an update   Affordablehelpdesksoftware.com - been neglected.

December 11, 2006 - Shut Up and Reboot! 2006 is now available. Our last major upgrade of the year, this version is vastly different from earlier releases.  If you don't need a web interface, but just an affordable easy to use IT Help Desk Program  - maybe Shut Up and Reboot! is right for you. Affordably priced at less than $200.  Check it out.  Download a fully functional trial version.

December 1, 2005 - Enterprise Level Licenses added for AccessAble Help Desk Pro and Client Server Editions.  All of our help desk programs currently include a site license.  This means that if you have 5 staff members using the program at your location the cost is the same as if you only had one poor soul supporting your users.  In the case of our programs with a web interface, this is also at a site license level.  No matter how many users are accessing the database via browser there are no additional per user costs.  However, we have a growing number of contacts from organizations wanting to use AAHD Pro Edition or Client Server Editions at multiple sites within their enterprise.  Each site may have it's own web and database server.  While a site license price of $499 for the Pro Edition and $599 for the Client Server Edition is still cost effective for organizations rolling out at only two or three locations, when that number grows to 5 or 10 or more it can become costly.  To help, we now offer Enterprise Licenses for the AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition and the AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition at just $1500.  And through the end of 2005 purchase either site license and get the other license for free.  We will also mail a complimentary CD to each location you specify (up to 25 worldwide) with your order.  Fair 'nuff? New pricing available on the Order page.

November 14, 2005 - Now through December 31, 2005 - AccessAble Help Desk Client Server and Pro Edition "Two-Fer" offer is back.  I am still making a list of changes planned for the next major upgrade to both the Professional Edition and the Client Server Edition of the AccessAble Help Desk programs.  Version 3.0 for both will be planned for release before the end of the first quarter of 2006 and all registered users prior to that release will be eligible for a free version upgrade.  In the meantime, I will include a license/registration key for both the Pro Edition and Client Server Edition to all who purchase a license for either version at no extra charge.  TIP:  The Pro Edition license is $100 cheaper than the Client Server Edition.  So if you have been contemplating buying the Client Server Edition, go ahead and buy the Pro Edition, even if you know you never plan to use it.  This will save you a little money if you order before the end of 2006.

November 1, 2005 - Site license price for Proactive Customer Support 2.0 now $299

October 10, 2005 - Updated web interface for Proactive Customer Support 2.0

While many organizations only use the windows application of Proactive Customer Support, others will want to utilize a browser based interface: either for customers to submit support requests via browser, or for support staff to update requests - or both.  I have not updated the windows application but I have modernized the web interface.  Both are included in this file and a site license still includes the windows and web interface.

Click the thumbnail below to see the new web interface in one of the many styles provided to registered users.  The trial download only includes two sample styles.

10/7/2005 - AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition 2.57 now available.  I will soon be replacing the current download with the new .zip file available right now at http://www.dbandsons.com/setupcs257.zip (I have now replaced the older version download)

9/6/2005 - SRM HELP DESK 2005 - Now available for download.  A comprehensive, but easy to use Help Desk program for Computer Support, SRM Help Desk includes a web based interface as well as the windows application.  Download a fully functional trial version.

9/3/2005 - The web interface for SRM Help Desk 2005 is also close to completion.  You can view a preview of the web interface for SRM Help Desk 2005 here.

8/31/2005 - Our Newest IT Help Desk program is really an upgrade to an existing program.  You can get a preview of the new version of SRM Help Desk 2005 here.

8/6/2005 - MGCS 2005 now available.  Read about it.  Download a Trial Version - View help file. This program is for generic customer support, rather than IT Help Desks. It includes an easy to use desktop application (this may be all you need) but also includes an optional web interface to let your customers (internal or external) submit support requests, and an optional Pocket PC applet to let you take your synchronized customer support information with you to meetings, on the plane, or at home.  The next time you are at your desk, pop your Pocket PC in it's cradle and synchronize the changes you made with the desktop application.  Value priced at $249 for a site license, which includes unlimited users at a single location for all three component, an introductory discount code (PKY000WA) makes it a steal at $149. That price won't last, and if this new version sells well the $249 price may be increased as well.  But through August 31, 2005 this trio of components for easy customer support is our best value for organizations that need a basic, easy to implement solution.

MGCS version 2005 - New version 2005 Available.  A free upgrade to registered users but the file format is different than version 1.0.  This was necessary for the new Pocket PC Applet. The web interface is also totally redesigned.  You can try the new web interface at http://www.dbandsons.com/mgcs2005/menu.asp - more information will be posted soon.

One site license (cost to be less than $300 with reduced introductory level pricing being considered) includes an easy to use Microsoft Windows based desktop application, applet for the Pocket PC, and attractive and robust browser based interface all included!

7/26/2005 - Patch Available for registered users of AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition:

An alert user notified me of a "missing link" on the computers grid web page for AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition.  The "Insert" link to add a new record is missing from the computersgrid.asp web page.  I have created a .zip file which includes corrected pages for all the themes included with the 2.52 web pages supplied to registered users of AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition.   To correct the problem, just unzip the appropriately named .zip file to the folder of the same or similar name.  For example, if you are using the "Salad" theme you would unzip the file named computersgridsal.zip to the folder c:\inetpub\wwwroot\aahdpro252sal

It may be that this missing link was not important to you, I am honestly surprised no one had reported this "anomaly" - I hate the word bug - until now.

To obtain a link to these corrected web pages, email dbandsons@aol.com with information to help me verify your purchase, such as your Company Name, or copy of my email with your registration information.

Thanks, Jerry, for emailing me with your finding.

Dad

7/11/2005 - Due to several recent emails, I will once again offer a free license for the AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition with each purchase of the AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition.  This will be from today through the end of July.  The dual license sale may be used only within the same organization, licenses are not transferable.  Yes, it is possible to use the Client Server Edition with Microsoft's MSDE not just MS SQL Server 2000.

6/30/2005 - QUAD Help Desk Pro Edition 3.15 now available.  This new version fixed  a problem brought to our attention by one of our customers.  This will likely be the last .dot revision of QUAD Help Desk.  Future upgrades may affect the database structure and would therefore be a full version upgrade (4.x).  Upgrades always depend on customer feedback and product sales.  So I don't anticipate a version 4.0 until late this year.  Other programs are scheduled for update before then.  I have changed the file to download version 3.15 but the links on this and other web sites should already point to this new release.

6/27/2005 - A full setup installation of AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition 2.57 is now available for licensed users of earlier versions.  In July, the trial download setup, currently version 2.55 may be replaced with version 2.57.  In addition, a new web page interface for AAHD Pro Edition is in development.  These new web pages will be made available first to licensed uses and at least one set of new pages may be included in a trial version download.  Below is an example screen shot for new web pages.

5/26/2005 - Only a few days left for the May Special, and New versions of AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition and Client Server Edition almost complete.

I am very near to completing new incremental updates to both the AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition and the AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition.
These new versions (2.57) will be initially available to registered users. A full reinstall will NOT be required, instead a .zip file containing new .exe and .dll files will only need to be unzipped to your current installed directory. Most notable in the next release is the addition of a window for users of Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express..  This will enable you to read the contents of your inbox and by clicking one button create a new problem or request record based on the contents of the email you are reading.  You will also be able to send email from within the program, with the same feature.

I will begin notifying registered users of the availability of the new version soon, and this version may not be publicly available for download.

5/4/2005 - May Special on AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition/Client Server and price  reduced on C/S Edition.  I am once again offering a "Two-Fer" special.  Buy a site license for either the AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition or the Client Server Edition and receive a free license for the other.  I have also reduced the site license price for the Client Server Edition to $499.  The special includes a complimentary CD for each.  This offer good through the month of May 2005. I will also be including a free license for the Standard Edition for the next few purchases of the AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition, making it a "Three -Fer- the price of one!

4/27/2005 - QUAD Help Desk Pro Edition 3.0 will be officially released by May 1st. At that time the site license price will be increased to $299. New features include the ability to read your Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express Inbox from within the program and create a call record from an email with just one click. Runtime translation is also included.  I will be replacing download links to version 2.x with the link to download version 3.0 on May 1st.  In the meantime you can download version 3.0 right now by clicking here.

4/20/2005 - Newest Generic Customer Support program available.  RGCS is probably  our easiest to use program for non IT Help Desk staff ever.  But just because it is simple, don't think it is short on features.  It includes the ability runtime translation of all screens and reports just by editing a text file.  Read Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express email from within the program and with one click add the email you are reading to a new Call record.  Download a fully functional 30 day trial version at http://www.dennisbaggottandsons.com/setuprgcs.zip and try it out.  If it meets your needs, a site license is just $169. More information will be on this web site, but this new program is also featured on our http://dennisbaggottandsons.com  web site.

Please visit our newly redesigned web site at http://www.dennisbaggottandsons.com - This may soon be our most complete and current web site and you will want to bookmark it.  You may also want to make our forum one of your favorites.

A short summary of our help desk software can be found here.

3/8/2005 - I will be discontinuing the Special offer to include a license for the Pro Edition of the AccessAble Help Desk with each license for the AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition on March 15th, 2005.  I am also contemplating raising the price of a site license for the AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition from $499 to $599 later this year.

2/24/2005 - QUAD Help Desk 2.9 Released - and at new low price of $129 per site.

2/5/2005 - Buy a Site License for the Client Server Edition 2.55 for $599 and get a Site License for the Professional Edition FREE - $499 value.

Starting in February 2005, when you buy a license for the AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition for $599 I will include a site license for the Professional Edition at no extra charge. In the past I have not offered free cross grades, but have sold a license for the Client Server Edition to registered users of the Pro Edition at a reduced price. While many, perhaps the majority of organizations judging by sales figures are content with the Pro Edition (uses a Microsoft Access .mdb file on the backend), others have wanted to move to the Client Server Edition later, when they either got more experience using Microsoft SQL Server or bought MS SQL Server later for another project and this made moving to AAHD CLIENT SERVER EDITION easier.

Also, some smaller companies may not have realized that if their Web Host Provider offers a Microsoft SQL Server database to their customers for a small annual fee, which makes the AAHD Client Server Edition a viable option for them.

So if you have tried the Professional Edition but wondered if you might be able to use the Client Server Edition instead, now I am making it easier for you. Buy a site license for the Client Server Edition at $599 and I when I receive confirmation of your order, I will send you registration keys for both versions via email and complimentary CDs for both the Pro Edition and the Client Server Edition. So you can start with the Pro Edition and move up to the Client Server Edition when you are ready. No need to buy another license or pay a cross grade fee. This offer will be effective for at least the month of February. I will be watching to see if this offer makes sales of the Client Server Edition go up or not and this will help me determine whether or not to leave this offer in affect.

1/28/2005 - AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition 2.55 released!

12/2/2004 - Month and Year Ahead

There will not be any "specials" or discounts offered in December.  On the positive side, I don't expect any price increases either.  I am still pretty confident Been There, Done That! 8.2 will be released this month.  Version 2.55 of AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition may not be ready before the end of 2004, but it is still possible.  In 2005 I will be evaluating current product offerings and determine which, if any, will be discontinued.  If I do decide to discontinue any program, registered users will be offered a free cross grade to a similar product.

Oct 28, 2004 - Preview next release of Been There, Done That!  as .doc or .pdf file. In development.

Oct 19, 2004 - Value Added Reseller named in South America.  INCOMSAT Cia. Ltda is now an authorized reseller of our Customer Support/Help Desk Products in South America.  We hope the addition of Incomsat as a VAR will be of value to existing/new customer in South America.

May 26, 2004 - Site License for Proactive Customer Support 2.0 now $349. (Reduced again on 8/2/2004 to $199.  May be a temporary price reduction.)

May 20, 2004 - A New AccessAble Help Desk Standard Edition is available for download, aahdstd.jpg (75744 bytes) just under 4 megs, this is kind of the AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition on a diet - a Lite Edition.  It does not include a license for the Web interface or the Crystal Reports or the SMTP Email capability of the Pro Edition.  However, for many organizations it may just the right size.  Expected price will be $299, but available for a limited time a site license can be bought for just $199.  Purchase price can be credited if you later upgrade to the Pro or Client Server Edition.  The standard edition will replace the older AccessAble Help Desk Suite/Special Edition and is a free upgrade for users of those older applications.

May 16, 2004 - A New Pro Edition of the QUAD Help Desk is available for download.  The main difference is the addition of User Logins and procedure security as well as a couple of additional fields.  The security setup is similar to that now provided in my Simple Customer Support program.

May 14, 2004 - Newer set of web pages available for registered users or Proactive Customer Support.  I have an updated se of web pages, which include some corrections to pages included with the trial download as well as some additional pages and changes requested by other users.  To try the 2.0 web interface you can go to:  http://www.lnsoftware.com/pcs2/proactivemenu.asp - to start create a customer account for yourself and try the web interface from the customer/end user perspective.  Then exit your browser and go to the same URL above but use a login name of admin and password of admin.  If you have already registered (bought your site license) email me for a copy of the new pages.  Also, if you are using the web pages with an ISP but having some problems getting things working email me and I will be glad to try and help you.  Most common problem is getting the database connection in the common.asp file setup correctly.

May 6, 2004 - Price increase for Proactive Customer Support 2.0 to take affect this month.

AccessAble Help Desk Standard Edition 2.51 nearing completion. This new program will be data file compatible with AAHD Pro Edition 2.51 but will not include a license for the web interface and will not include the runtime Crystal Reports or the email sending capability included in the Pro Edition.  The interface will be very similar and the price will be lower.  More information to follow.

May 1, 2004 - AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition - price increased to $599.  This is still a site license and includes both the windows and web interfaces.  Other price increases are also planned during the month of May, however, all programs will still include an unlimited site license.  A "Standard Edition" of AccessAble Help Desk is being planned which will replace the older/outdated Suite/Special Editions.  The Standard Edition will not include a license for the web interface and will not include runtime Crystal Reports.  The data format will be the same as the Pro Edition, and it will be a free version upgrade to registered users of the AAHD Suite/Special Edition which are being replaced.

April 21, 2004 - Forum added. While email to me is still the fastest way to get help and answers to your questions about my software, I have just setup a Product Forum where you will be able to view postings from other customers/potential customers and add your own posts or questions.  I will be checking in to the forum, hopefully, at least a couple of times a day.  Hopefully you will find the new forums helpful.  Polls will also be included from time to time.

March 27, 2004 - AccessAble Help Desk Pro Edition 2.5 download available (almost 30 megs) or download the manual in PDF format.  More info soon.

Been There, Done That! 8.0 - available 3/13/2004 - My first and still least expensive help desk program has just been updated.  More news later, but if you want to try a simple, windows based IT Help Desk Program, the download is just over 5 megs. My least expensive program at just $75, don't let the price fool you.  Besides, if it works for you and your organization I won't tell how little you paid for your site license :-)

QUAD Help Desk 2.5 -available 2/28/2004

Quad Help Desk is a simple customer program for organizations that just need to track basic caller/call information.  A mini-http server is included for those that don't want to use a more complicated web server to allow users to request support via browser.  Learn more about this QUick And Dirty Help Desk program.  The download is just about 5 megs.  You can have this multi-user capable help program up and running quickly.

AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition 2.1 available - 2/22/2004

(incremental update 2.11 available 3/4/2004 - need to have 2.1 installed first.)

About Client Server Versions of my Help Desk Programs: I currently offer two programs which do not use a standard desktop type database on the back end.  These two programs were developed specifically at the request of people who already used a Client Server Database Server, but wanted me to develop a help desk front end that would support their preferred backend.  I do not sell, bundle or otherwise distribute, third party software! AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition includes a script to create the database files and both a Windows and Browse Based Interface - but your organization would still need to own appropriate licenses for Microsoft SQL Server.  For those organizations that use or prefer the MySQL Database Server I offer My Problem Solved! - however, again, it is assumed that your organization already has an appropriate license for that database server.  It may be that your web hosting provider includes a license for one of t hese database servers with your package. Most often, Web Hosts that run Linux web servers will offer MySQL Server while Web Hosts with Windows based servers will offer MS SQL Server.  In any event this is just a reminder that I am not a "reseller" of either operating systems, client/server database software or web hosting services.  I will be glad to share my opinions if you want to email and ask me which I prefer, but this is just so you know that I only sell software that I write - not additional products.  I do (on rare occasions) write custom software, and you may feel free to email me with information about your needs.  However, any custom development at this time is quite limited, due to other commitments.

CONTACT THE DEVELOPER:  When you send me an email, you are not writing to some huge company and hoping your email gets to someone in tech support who knows something about the program you are writing about.  You are writing to the person who actually wrote the program, and yes, I want to hear from you:  Not just when you place an order, but if you have comments, suggestions or questions.  Some of my best ideas have come from users or potential users who took the time to write me.  However, like most people I do get a lot of Spam.  Help me to be able to respond to your questions quickly and efficiently. First, please put something in the subject of your email other than the word "Question" or "Help" or "Date".  This last was the subject of an email that turned out to be very useful to me as it was about date formatting for the UK, not a date as in Blind Date, or something like that.  As you may have noticed, I have written quite a few programs, so if you have already downloaded one of my programs and have a problem or question about it, please include in your email the program name and version.  If the version number is not in the title bar of the main menu, check Help, About.  Tell me about the configuration:  operating system (Windows XP, Windows 2000, etc) and if on a network, using Novell Netware, etc.  Really, I am anxious to help and the more information you can give me the better I will be able to answer your questions.  Finally, I try to respond to all emails within 24 hours, usually much sooner.  If you don't get a reply is it something to do with your own Spam filtering?  This may be useful for some to know:  I maintain multiple web sites but have most email forwarded to dbandsons@aol.com - So if you have written to me at support@dbandsons.com or dennis@lnsoftware.com my reply might not come from the same email address.  So if you have email filtering set to only receive replies from people you write to, you might miss my reply and think I didn't reply when I did. Confused?  I hope not. I just want to be sure you don't miss a reply to an email and that I can help you quickly.

2/15/2004 - Incremental update to AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition Available.  If you have already installed a version 2.X of the Client Server Edition of the AccessAble Help Desk you can download a zip file to bring you to version 2.04.  The zip file is not the full install, but contains only a single .exe.  You will want to extract the .zip file to overwrite the file of the same name, which by default would have been installed to C:\Program Files\AAHDCS2

Version 2.04 makes some minor but important changes to the Windows based portion of the application.  An example:  a Print button has been added to the Browse Requests screen to let you print a detail report of the selected request.

2/6/2004 - My Problem Solved! 2.0 now available for download.  This is for the growing number of you that already use the MySQL Database Server and want your help desk to run on the same server.  The program features a windows based as well as web based front end.

1/11/2004 - Free Knowledge Base Application - No spyware, or adware, and no strings attached.  Just download it, try it, and if you like it - keep it. The download is just about 1 meg including small help file.  The idea is simple.  Instead add knowledge base items as you find them.  Copy and paste the information from web sites.  Or if you want use the ... button to find a file (.txt, .pdf, doc, any file type registered on your computer) and then when you search for an item that has a file name associated with it, click on the now hyperlinked file name and the URL or document will be launched.  No strings, and you don't even need to give me your email address.  Just download it.

If you are not sure which of the many programs we offer is right for you, check out the Product Matrix. You can also email me and describe your needs and preferences.  I will try to get back to you promptly with a suggestion or two to help narrow down the search.  If I don't feel any of my programs are a good match, I may even recommend a competitor's program.  If you need a more customized program to meet your special needs, it doesn't hurt to ask.

1/10/2004 - OK, I have to admit a few things.  1) I am only Human.  2)  I am an American and 3) I live in Georgia.  Why the confession?  I received an email from someone in the United Kingdom who told me about a problem with the web pages for AAHD CS when used on his web site in England.  Like a lot of Americans, I am used to date fields being formatted as mm/dd/yyyy however, as this gentleman explained, in England, dates are formatted most often like dd/mm/yyyy so if I were to want to put January 10, 2004 in a date field pictured like 01/10/2004 he would want it formatted like 10/01/2004.  The web page interface uses pop up date pickers and if you use the picker on a date that already has a value in it, the date picker might add 20 years to the date, meaning a UK user would have to scroll through several years to get to the correct year.  Whoops.  Sorry about that.  Anyway, if you are evaluating AAHDCS and are not using the "American" date format, please email me with the AAHDCS UK WEB in the subject and I will send you a URL to download a more European style set of pages.  I am also going to try to remember to send registered users outside the USA a CD with the additional themes formatted to use dd/mm/yyyy formats. Thanks John, for bringing this to my attention.

1/9/2004 - My Problem Solved! 2.0 in development.  Many changes to the Windows app.  Currently Alpha Testing.  Use MySQL database for the backend, but a Windows app for the front end, with browser interface as well.  Price may change when released.

12/26/2003 - Full Download of AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition 2.03 uploaded.  You can download a complete setup of version 2.03 containing setups for both the windows and web interface.  I have also reduced the site license price for the client server edition to $499 - the same price as the Professional Edition.  I will keep this lower price at least through January 2004.

12/24/2003 - Version 2.0 of Proactive Customer Support is now available.  The web page interface has not changed since version 1.5 but the windows portion of the application has changed considerable.  I hope for the better.  If you tried an earlier version and preferred, please write me and tell me why.  I have made one very big improvement with this release.  The price for a site license, both the windows and web application has been reduced (at least temporarily) from $499 to just $275.  No additional per user charges.

12/21/2003 - Minor but important update to AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition - 2.03 is the latest version.  If you have already installed 2.0 or higher, please download the .zip and use the .exe inside it, rename the .exe if needed or modify your shortcut.  I will "repackage" a full 2.03 setup routine soon and make these new changes available in a single download. Currently I am also making some web page changes, again suggested by Mike, such as adding the Action Taken or Planned to the end user's My Request Grid page.  Some other improvements as well.

12/19/2003 - Minor update to AccessAble Help Desk Client Server edition  Version 2.02 available.  This interim version includes what seemed to me to be some good changes.  I have added a refresh button on the requests browse screen.  Now when that screen is open, you can click the refresh button and if any new requests have been submitted by a user on another workstation or a user adds or updates a request via browser the change will be displayed.  Most of the lookup buttons (...) have been replaced with drop down list boxes.  I was told by the same person that suggested the refresh button that this would speed data entry and I think it may in fact be preferable to the lookup browse screens.  Finally, this .02 version may prevent duplicate records being displayed depending on sort order.  I still need confirmation of this.  Thanks for the suggestions, Mike.  I have not prepared a full setup for this version, but if you have already installed version 2.0 - see the link in the next paragraph, you can download a zip file with the .02 .exe and copy it to the directory where you have version 2.0 installed.  As always, I welcome comments and suggestions, write to me at dennis@lnsoftware.com or dennis@dbandsons.com

Download AAHD Client Server 2.0 here.  Then apply the 2.02 or 2.03 update. I will be recompiling a complete setup for version 2.03 soon.

Most of my programs are geared towards IT Help Desk Support.  Surprisingly, many organizations use these programs for customer support or a variety of non-IT related tasks.  When I ask about the computer/software inventory screens, etc, the usual reply is "we just don't use what we don't need".  Well, if you are looking for a simple, affordable program that is not web based, does not require Microsoft SQL Server or have other features related to IT Help Desk Support, my latest program may be just what you need.  Simple Customer Support    is available for download effective November 14, 2003.  Try it out for up to 30 days.  If it meets your needs, buy a site license.  The price is just $129 - at least for the initial release.  Version upgrades will be free to registered users.

12/4/2003 - Important!  If you have been considering purchasing a site license for Accessable Help Desk Pro Edition and have tried either the current version (2.15) or an earlier version such as 2.0, I am back at work on version 2.5.  The next release will include a number of changes - some will like the changes, others will not.  Registered users of any earlier version will be able to upgrade to 2.5 for free when it is released - a new password may be required.  However, when 2.5 is available I will most likely remove earlier versions from the web site.  These older versions will not be downloadable from any of my web sites when 2.5 is made available.  Although the feature set is not yet complete, I can tell you than the AccessAble Email option will not be included in version 2.5.  Certain features of the "browse" style screens in the windows app may be replaced with different functions.  There may be other changes to the interface.  I am just posting this information now so that if you have not yet purchased your site license, you may want to do so before 2.5 is released.  Personally, I think the next version will be the best yet, but you may not agree.  If you have questions, don't hesitate to write me at dennis@lnsoftware.com or dennis@dbandsons.com and I will try to get back to you promptly.  As always, version upgrades are free to registered users, but they are optional.  So if you purchase before 2.5 is released, and decide you prefer 2.15 or 2.0, just continue to use the older version.  However, if you wait until 2.5 is out you will not be able to download or purchase the older versions.

11/03/2003 - AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition 2.0 available for download.  I will be updating the web pages soon to reflect the changes in this newest release.

Many organizations like the idea of help desk program with an optional browser based interface, but may not want to use Microsoft IIS or similar server and don't want to learn about .ASP (Active Server Pages) or for that matter, .HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language).  Problem Solved! has been the solution for many organizations since I first released version 1.0 in 1999.  Version 4.0 is the current release.  An attractive and easy to learn windows interface is supplemented with a mini-http server that requires no learning curve.
